faq — everything you need to know before getting tattooed at tattoo in prague

At tattoo in prague

whether you’re thinking about your first tattoo or already have some ink — here you’ll find answers to the most common questions. we’ll explain how to prepare, what to expect during the process, what happens after, and how to take care of your tattoo.

what does the consultation and project preparation include?

when you book with us:

– we create your client profile,

– recommend the right artist based on style,

– arrange a consultation and appointment,

– stay in touch with you before and after the session,

– give advice on aftercare and next steps.

what’s the difference between a gift voucher and a personal booking?

a gift voucher can be given to anyone – it works as a payment method.

a personal booking is linked directly to you and confirms that you truly want to realize your project.

is the booking a deposit?

no. it’s not a tattoo deposit, but a payment for preparation and project organization.

can i get a tattoo only for the value of a voucher?

the voucher covers part of the total price. unless agreed otherwise, it’s not possible to get a tattoo for its value only.

can i change my idea?

yes, you can. all changes and adjustments are discussed directly with your artist at the first meeting before the session. There’s no need to message the administrator about changes in placement or size — you’ll solve everything in person at the studio.

will i see the design in advance?

usually not. you’ll see the design on the day of your session – the artist will prepare it based on the real view of your body. we believe the best results come from in-person consultation.

what if i don’t like the design?

no one will force you – the design can be adjusted on the spot until you’re happy.

what if the artist cancels the appointment?

sometimes the artist may get sick or travel. in that case, we’ll contact you as soon as possible to reschedule or arrange a replacement.

how to prepare for your tattoo?

– get a good night’s sleep and eat breakfast,

– avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medication,

– hydrate your skin 1–2 days in advance,

– bring cash – the remaining balance is paid in cash,

– and most importantly – come healthy.

what if i get sick?

let us know. your body needs strength for healing, and we don’t want to risk our team or other clients.

can i bring someone with me?

yes, but they can only wait in the lounge. the tattoo area follows strict hygiene rules.

how long does a session take?

every project is different – we always include time for consultation, breaks, and comfort so you can feel at ease.

when can i exercise, tan, or swim after the tattoo?

give your skin at least 2 weeks to heal.

pregnancy and breastfeeding?

we don’t tattoo pregnant or breastfeeding women – it puts unnecessary stress on the body and may pose a risk to the child.

do you tattoo minors?

yes, but only with written consent from both legal guardians + copies of their IDs. everything must be arranged in advance.

how to care for a new tattoo?

– keep the protective film on for the first few days,

– then wash it gently with mild soap and dry with a clean towel,

– apply a thin layer of cream – less is more!

the skin needs to breathe.

when can i come for a touch-up?

we don’t do touch-ups on fingers, behind the ears, or lips – these areas are problematic, and we don’t offer such projects.

our other small and large tattoos are always done carefully and completely – so touch-ups are usually not needed.

we reserve the word “touch-up” for low-quality tattoos – and those don’t happen here.

can i use numbing cream?

we don’t recommend it. it changes skin texture, makes the artist’s work harder, and may even cause more pain. if you still want to use it – let us know in advance.

tattooing over scars – is it possible?

yes, if the scar is fully healed and flat. send us a photo and we’ll advise you.

what if i have a bruise where i want the tattoo?

wait until it heals. colors might distort, and the skin may not take the ink well.

can i be allergic to the ink?

we use high-quality certified inks. allergic reactions are rare, but if anything appears – contact us immediately.

does it hurt after the tattoo?

it might, or it might not. cooling the area and keeping the limb elevated helps. if you’re unsure, send us a photo.

how does a tattoo age?

over time, it may fade slightly – that’s natural. if you want to refresh it, contact us – we’ll be happy to update it.

what if i want to cover an old tattoo?

options:

rework – light enhancement,

blast over – new tattoo over the old one, partly visible,

cover up – full cover with a new design,

blackout – covering the entire area in black.

send a photo of the old tattoo, and we’ll discuss the options.
